ZF Test Systems has refined its well-known e-mobility test bench set that can be used to test complete electric drive axles, electric motors and electric axle drives. The core component of the modular test bench is a drive module with an oil-cooled synchronous motor.
According to Jan Hesselbarth, product communication test systems representative at ZF, “The base for the receiving module is optionally fixed, inclinable and swiveling and available for single- or multi-machine operation with or without cross table. Various optional modules complement the modular system.
“Due to its modular design, tests of conventional passenger car transmissions can similarly be performed. The appropriate frequency converter and measurement technology, automation and a highly dynamic control perfect the system.”
Features of ZF’s e-mobility test bench for e-motors, gearboxes, e-axles, e-powertrain and e-transmissions include up to 26,000rpm; up to 750kW/1,200Nm torque; slim design; multiple installation options; acoustic/NVH package (optional); and an air- and media-conditioning option.
Of the test bench’s many advantages, Thomas Trebitsch, vice president of test systems and testing, enthused, “Power up to 750kW, torque up to 1,200Nm, air-conditioning, acoustic cabin and a new adjustment table for an even more precise and simple adjustment – that’s the ‘new old’ e-mobility test bench of ZF.”
