Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau is to present an all-new burst pressure test stand at Testing Expo – Automotive – China 2017, which takes place September 19-21, at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.
The test stand, which is designed for plastic components, can produce up to 400 bar, and has precise pressure control in a tolerance of +/- 0.1 bar.
The German company has further developed the technology allowing for fine pressure control. This means that components such as AdBlue tanks, brake fluid containers, hose lines and suction modules can be measured more precisely.
The new testing system verifies media-carrying components by pressurizing the parts. The burst pressure can then be measured by 100,000 values per second. This means that manufacturers can specifically design parts for certain applications.
The new design enables much faster, more precise analysis and less maintenance than conventional systems.
The company’s newest test stand enables two operating modes. A wear-free fine-control process with a tolerance of +/-0.1 bar, for precise programmable and repeatable pressure up to 50 bar. As well as a pneumatic pressure transducer which can produce 400 bar of pressure on a test medium of water or oil.
The autarchic-working system features quick-coupling for easy adaptation of test specimens and a quick-change device so that the test piece can be changed outside the chamber.
